Douglas Becht
Douglas Becht began his career in sales by working the retail floor, selling men’s apparel at Dayton’s Department Store in Minneapolis for five years. He attributes this retail experience for giving him the foundation to understand the very important role the retail salesperson plays in the success of everyone’s business.
From retail, he accepts a position to become a sales representative calling on the Food and Drug chains, along with mass merchants. After eight years, Doug’s father Jack Becht, a sales rep in the Casual Furniture industry for over 25 years, asked Doug to join his business. Regretfully, this was not meant to be as his father passed away unexpectedly in July 1986. Doug moved forward attending his first casual market in 1988.
His father’s philosophy guides him to this day. Be honest, work hard, and always serve both manufacturers and customers with absolute integrity, understanding that a sales representative is the integral link between the two.
Doug strives to always provide his customers and the companies he represents with the highest level of service, in the most professional and enthusiastic manner possible.
He added, “It’s such a privilege and I’m so grateful to be representing, Castelle Furniture, Nardi, Quality Works, TUUCI, and Windward Outdoor.”
