HIGH POINT, N.C. — The International Casual Furnishings Association has named Patrick Troy, president and chief executive officer of Gloster US/Dedon, as the 2024 recipient of the Dudley K. Flanders Leadership Award.

ICFA presented its first Dudley K. Flanders Leadership Award in 2023 to recognize an outstanding up-and-coming professional under the age of 45 whose actions demonstrate a quest for excellence and the potential for strengthening and building the outdoor furnishings industry.

In his nomination for the award, Troy was described as “a leader who thinks strategically, encourages innovation and drives progress through his team or organization for long-term success. He embraces continuous learning, seeks feedback and strives for personal and professional growth. Patrick leads by example which inspires those around him and creates a level of trust, respect and motivation to his team around him.”

The nomination continues: “Patrick worked his way up while at Tuuci for over 13 years. He started off as an account manager, then was overseeing all sales and eventually became the youngest senior vice president. Although he loved what he did, he was sought out for an opportunity to lead Gloster and Dedon as the CEO and president.”

The award was presented during the ICFA Awards Gala in Atlanta to Troy by Jess Flanders, Dudley’s daughter and CEO & Creative Director of Lloyd Flanders, along with President Warren Juliano. The inaugural award was presented to Jessica Salisbury, previously of retailer Village Green in Rockford, Illinois. She was recently named business development manager at POLYWOOD.

Flanders, who died in 2021, guided the establishment of the ICFA in 2008 and served as the organization’s volunteer leader in its formative years. A man of quiet strength and extraordinary vision, he led by example in his everyday life with an openness for new ideas, a reflective quality to manage change and a zeal for empowering associates and colleagues to reach their highest potential.
