In Memoriam: Michael Siesel

With heavy hearts, the Casual Cushion Corporation recently announced the passing of Michael Siesel. Michael died on February 1, 2023, and he is survived by his wife, Valentina, his daughters, Jaclyn, Bridget, and Brianna, his mother, Pierrette, and brother, Jason.

Mike attended the University of Florida and worked as a civil engineer, later joining Casual Cushion in December of 2000 and leading the transition to modernize the company—while also spearheading the move from Florida to South Carolina. The move transformed the company into an industry leader and quadrupled company sales. With an engineering background, he brought a new perspective and approach to Casual Cushion’s manufacturing process.

Mike had a constant presence on the production floor and made it a point to get to know the employees on a personal level. He was proud of being a domestic manufacturer and making an impact on the lives of employees and customers. Away from work, Mike enjoyed traveling, both stateside and abroad, with his family. He enjoyed the game of golf and was a big fan of NASCAR.
